We plan to apply for a visitor record extension before submitting the spousal PR outland application. I am currently in Canada, and I understand that travel history requires listing the dates I am physically present. My original flight home is September 23. If IRCC hasn’t processed the visitor record by the time we submit the PR application, which date should I use as the end date for my current trip in the travel history section? I am not trying to misrepresent or overstay by stating incorrect dates. Should I use the PR application submission date and include a Letter of Explanation stating that the visit is still ongoing while we await IRCC’s decision? Thanks so much in advance!

Hi, If your visitor record extension is still pending when you submit your PR application, you can list your PR submission date as your “end date” in the travel history section and include a letter of explanation stating that your visit is ongoing while awaiting IRCC’s decision.
