I want to know more details about travel document. What is TC and what are its benefits. Our PR cards expiring on 13 sept. 2011 and I stayed only one month after landing. Because of my mother cancer treatment I could not go back to stay for 2 years in 5 years time period.
I want to apply on H&C grounds. My question is:

Should I let my PR card to expire and then apply for Travel Document or should I go to Canada before expiry of our PR cards and then stay for 2 years if they let us in. The problem is I have to resign my job and if even after resigning my job , at the airport they revoke our PR cards despite the fact that I have genuine H&C grounds then in this case I stand no where( having already resigned my job).
If I go without resigning my job I will loose my end of service benefits. I have genuine intention to stay in Canada.
Mr. leon and others please help in this regards.

i think its better you return now and apply for h&c from inside canada becoz after your pr is expired you cant apply for travel document

I agree with cooldoc80. I think you should try and return and stay for 2 years and then apply for renewal in 2012.
