Hi All,

I have some questions regarding the travel doc for returning PRs who dont have a PR card in their possession.

1. Is there any situation under which a travel doc can be refused to a valid PR?
2. Do travel docs have a validity period like a normal visa? as are they valid from a specific date to a specific date?
3. If I land in Canada using a travel document to collect my PR cards will I have to provide any additional justification to the authorities at the airport for using a travel doc inspite of being a landed PR?

Please let me know. Thanks

Cheers,
Rishab

1. Yes. If you don't meet the requirements as stated on the TD application guide. Example is if you don't meet the residency obligation requirements. Also, a visa officer can decide to just refuse you. It's at their discretion though you can appeal.

2. Yes.

3. Of course they will ask questions like they always do but I don't see you not getting in at the end of the day if your case is straight forward.
