I landed in Canada in December 2009 and came back to the US without applying for the Permanent Resident card. I do have a copy of Confirmation of Permanent Resident but I cannot use that to fly from US to Canada and I think I need to get a Travel Document. I was reading through the checklist PDF of applying for a Travel Document but there are some documents in there that I do not have.
It has a section called "Supporting documents proving that you meet residency obligation" and I do not have any of the documents in that section. I have been living and working in the US since Landing, and I clearly have 4 and a half years to satisfy my 730 days of living in Canada. What do I do about those supporting documents when I apply for the Travel Document?
Any hints?
