Why it is not recommended to travel after applying for citizenship like same day trips or few days trips to USA or some other country?

who said that? you can travel as much as you can but you have to take note on every trips you have. Maybe some people said it because of the RQ but it doesnt mean that you didint went outside Canada you wont get an RQ. me for instance I never wento out to canada during my application but I got RQ'ed

I left, but got RQed. As mentioned elsewhere, unless you move permanently to a foreign country, CIC is just concerned about your availability for test+oath. No-shows slow the process down for everyone involved.

Sometime chances are like you get test notice but you are at abroad and potential for missing the test. If it is 6 month past application time its better not to travel, early stages of application ok to travel that is my understating.

Thank you everyone, i just read other forums about this so got little paranoid. I will keep track of my future visits outside canada

Lol I just got an eamai of APR but I'll be away 3 weeks for Europe next week and a month for Thailand in December. Hopefully CIC Dont work that fast. My seasnal jobs have done for this year.

We have travelled extensively after applying for citizenship. No issues, as long as you live and work in Canada.
