Transition from Study Permit to Post Grad Work Permit

Hi,

I will be completing my studies in December 2013 after which I hope to get a three year Post Grad Work Permit.

My existing study permit is valid until March 30, 2014 though.

I just have a simple question:

Will my existing Study Permit (which expires in April 1, 2014) still be valid after I graduate and receive a Post Grad Work Permit? That is, can I still go to school for the time of overlap of 3 months (from December 2013 to April 2014) between my Study Permit and Post Grad Work Permit?

I would be very thankful if someone helped me with this dilemma.

no you cannot...study permit expires once you graduate and don't take admission in another course...once you apply for work permit, you can forget about the study permit coz when you get the PGWP it automatically nullifies study permit

If you applied for PGWP then you can't go to school ..... But i want to ask you one question .... Y u want to go to school for 3 months ? Then i can give you more explanation .. 8)

Hi,

Or you can apply for PGWP in March 2014.

The day you apply for PGWP you'll lose the study permit status.

As others have said, you can't do both. Either you decide to apply for the PGWP so that you can work. Or you decide to continue studying. You have to pick one.

I haven't heard any certification course for chartered accounting last for only 3-4 months. I think you want to study some courses which are available privately in market. If you want to go for any course in private institution without any certification, you can do it but unless as other said once you get your PGWP your student visa will be cancelled.
