Transition from PG Diploma to Master's Program in Canada

I am currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma at a public college from May 2024 to April 2026. However, I am planning to apply for a Master's program(duration 16 months) starting in September 2025. I have a few questions:
  1. Since I've already paid the first-year fees for my college program, I intend to study at the college until April 2025. Between May 2025 and August 2025, can I stay in Canada, or will I be allowed to work part time or full time?
  2. Do I need to pay the GIC again for the Master's program?
  3. My current study permit is valid until September 2026, but the Master's program will end in December 2026. Should I extend my existing study permit or apply for a new one?"

1. If you stop studying, you cannot work. Your study permit is not valid after you stop studying.

I have not been accepted yet. I am weighing my options so had few doubts regarding immigration
Would start with actually getting admission to a masters program. If you are enrolled in a masters program and attend that masters program you can work during the summer.
