Transit VISA - Traveling Through Canada

Hello, I will be traveling through Canada from the USA to India. I have Indian Passport and I applied for the Canadian Transit VISA (5257E) online on 26th of February.

The frustrating thing is that I only have a 2.5 hour halts on the Canadian Airport while going and coming back. I am stupid enough to book Canadian Airlines. Still I will need this visa because of my Indian citizenship.

I have not heard from them since apart from a confirmation of application submission. Does anyone have any experience with this online transit visa application and have any idea how long it's going to take or what are the next steps?

From what other members report, its going to take like a month to hear back from them

I did read the other people's comments but I thought they were all TRV (more than 48 hour) cases. My case is little different and it has been more than a month (35 days to be precise). That's why I am growing nervous!

Could you share your experience? I applied online for a transit visa yesterday, I only have 28 days left. What would you recommend, just re-route my flight, to avoid going via Canada?
