Transit Visa for US

Hi,

My father and mother have their air tickets booked from Calgary to India for Sep 30th 2010. They are here in Canada as Visitors (Single entry) and are returning on 30th september.

The ticket itenary is Calgary -> Chicago((OHare) ->Heathrow (London)->Chennai.

They stay for 4 hours in Chicago before taking the next flight to Heathrow. Do they require a transit Visa ?
Please advice.

Yes, they would require a US transit visa.

I have just 22 more days to apply for the transit VISA. Is it possible to get the same from Calgary in 22 days??

You have to make an appointment and the wait time is presently 12 days at Calgary and then 2 days for processing see: http://www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov/calgary.asp The required information for the visa is here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_4383.html#5
