My family and I will be traveling to Philippines and have a stopover in Canada. My son and I are both US citizens but my husband is Mexican citizen. My husband used to be an illegal immigrant in the US for 8 yrs. We have been living in Tijuana for almost 3 yrs. now. I cross the int'l border everyday to work in San Diego. If my husband applies for a transit visa will it get denied because of his background?

You are a U.S. citizen now. Is your husband a U.S. citizen?

My husband is MEXICAN citizen..he is in Mexico.. But he used to live illegally in the US. Now I'm asking if him being illegal in another country before could affect his application for a transit visa in Canada.

You are a U.S.citizen living in Mexico and work in Santiago. You live with your husband in Mexico. Am I right? You all want to go Philippines and would like to make a stopover in Canada. Do you want to stay in Canada for few days ? Is your husband traveling first time out of Mexico ?
