Transferring the studies from Canadian University to Indian University.

If a student currently pursuing a second-year Engineering degree at a Canadian university wishes to continue their Engineering studies at an Indian university, what would be the process? Would they need to start the program from the beginning, or would they be able to join directly in the second year? Additionally, do Indian universities recognize the education received in Canada for continuing studies?


If anyone has undergone this process, I would appreciate any insights.
