Hello,

I want to know the best options to transfer big sums of money (for tuition and living expenses) to Canada. I haven't landed yet, but I noticed that I can make an account with ScotiaBank online. Has anyone tried that?

For all students who are studying in Canada, What are the most convenient ways to send money to Canada? (I am not talking about how to pay tuition because I know it differs from university to another)

Thanks!

I do wire transfer the money from my bank from where I have taken a loan. Fill out a couple of forms wherein the details are asked for, like the beneficiary details, the purpose etc and give them back. They will do the needful and give you the acknowledgement which you can scan and send to your univ for records.

Alternatively, if you have a credit card, you may give the details and the univ will take money from there.
