Hi lpntocanada

How many years of experience do you have as an LPN? I also applied under NOC 3233 but I'm a little bit scared due to the fact that I only have less than two years of experience.
Hi! I have more than 3 years of experience at the time of initial application. I think you can claim 15 points for your work experience. Can you reach the 67 with those points? Good luck to you.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I was able to reach at least 67 points based on my work experience. I just wanted to know the number of years of your experience and compare it with mine because I heard that some VOs, just like the IELTS result, "question" work experiences if an applicant hasn't done the maximum number of years.

i applied may 4 meaning received by NS and i reside here in LA. i applied under LPN as well but i am a CNA. my consultant said to just apply under that category since my job description is there in that category. i hope he is right. also....its been more than 90 days and i am still awaiting from NS. i pray and hope hard that i get accepted for i am out of status here in the US. this is my last straw. thanks for welcoming me in your thread and i pray and wish all you all the luck.
Hi! I'm sorry but I doubt they will approve your case because CNA's do some of the job description of a LPN but not the major ones like pass medications and report change of conditions to doctors. I had the same experience when my consultant did not know that there were two types of nurses that are accepted for Canadian immigration and he applied me under RN instead of LPN. He said that looking at the job description it sounded like I can apply as a RN not really knowing the differences. My first application was rejected because of this. Good thing was when I read the rejection letter I noticed the mistake he did and sent in another application. Good luck and keep us posted.

Which province are you planning to settle? You should start looking at getting your license reciprocated cause it is very time consuming. I am already registered in the Province of Alberta and in the process of being registered in B.C.

How long did it take you to register in Alberta? I was planning on registering at Toronto because my relative is there. However, I'm also looking to register at different provinces. Do you have any idea which ones respond the fastest?

that is really sad. i have been dreaming of this. maybe that is why i havent gotten anything yet. i am still holding on a thin line of thread for just not being depress. i really wish it gets accepted though. how i wish that these consultant detected earlier the problem so i wouldn expect in the beginning that i had a slight chance. but with the experience you had...nothing can beat that. a miracle now would only be then my hope. also,,,,,in the NOC they have.....they should have taken away CNA for the other names,,,,,so people who wants to apply in that category should not waste there time. i dont know what to do now. ill probably just wait and expect the worst on my email.

Just think positive. You only have to do most of the jobs of NOC 3233, not all of them. If you "worded" your job description correctly, there is a very strong chance that you will get approved. I believe the reason they included CNAs is because they are accepting them in their country not because they wanted to give false hope to applicants.

Both Alberta and B.C. respond very fast. It's just the gathering of requirements that takes too long. It is also pretty expensive compare to U.S. You should first check if Ontario reciprocate U.S. license. R u here in L.A.?

For the landing fee, my consultant had me use money order.
