Hi,
I'm currently in Canada and applied for Temporary Resident Visa in Seattle, Washington. My documents were received last December 9, 2010. Until now I don't have my visa and I'm on vacation leave from my work until February 1st only. It says on cic.gc.ca that it would take only 14 days but in Seattle's visa website, up to 28 days. Now i'm worried of the processing time as i might not have enough time to visit my mom who's undergoing heart medication. Is there any way I can transfer the processing to Manila, Philippines visa office? I'm trying to contact Seattle's visa office but they don't accept inquiries over the phone. I sent an email and got a reply that they will respond within 28 days. If i don't have a way to contact them, is it possible to go home and use my old passport which is still valid until January 18, 2011, then just have my husband send my new passport with the TRV to Philippines? or do i need the new passport as well to travel to Philippines. I'm desperate to go home, as I want to be there for my mom during tough times. I hope somebody can help me with regards to this matter.
Thank you,
