Hi everyone,need some help here.Please explain what are transcripts supposed to be like?Here in my country,we get degrees (B.A and Masters ) and detailed marks sheets.Do I need to get new transcripts detailing my marks and study hours or will the detail marks sheets suffice? I can get them sealed by my university.Please clarify!

Your mark sheet is your transcript.

It looks like you are from India or Pakistan.

Just make clear copies of your mark sheets and notarize them. Tell the notary to stamp it as “ATTESTED TO BE A TRUE COPY"

here in India, most of the universities stamp ur marksheet(transcripts) and put them in a university sealed envelope.

In some countries you cannot get transcripts for BA or MA, especially if you studied before semester system became popular in 1998 onward.

If you had annual system in BA or MA and your degree was a 2 year degree, you cannot get transcripts. In that case your mark sheets are your transcripts.

Thanks everyone for your helpful comments. @ Maani I am from Pakistan and my degree is a two year degree completed in 1994.But will the detail mark sheet be accepted?

I know how things work in Pakistan.

Detailed mark sheets with notary stamp and "true copy" stamp with explanation letter will server the purpose for sure.

Most probably, your degree is from university of the Punjab.

So don't worry.
