Transcripts - SCDL (Symbiosis) - why are they Problematic?

has anyone faced this problem like me?

hi

in March 2013, I applied for 6 sealed Transcripts from them.
got that duly sealed.

In May 2013, I landed in Toronto.

2 weeks back applied to WES.

they accepted my DU transcripts and degrees.
but told me to submit SCDL transcripts.

I opened one of the left envelops and found a General letter that i was a student and the attested copy of my
Diploma Certificate.

I emailed SCDL describing the Issue...that I was not given the Transcipts and WES is requesting for them.

they replied stating that they have investigated and Transcripts only were sent.

they are just not Accepting their error and asking me to Reapply.


I have now asked them-
What is a Transcript???

anyways
Anyone got actual Transcripts from them before,
what are its contents?

nobody has asked for it.

these are required to get Equivalence of your degrees done already, so that u dont hv to study them again,
in order to study further.

also, it gives an edge in the CV.

for further study, yes !
for employment, not always required ! eight of my friends are all based in Toronto , and are in good jobs without having any credentials evaluation done.
i would rather advise a certifictae or diploma course in your field (rather than breaking our head getting your degrees evlauated), part time as you work full time for a survival job

I am doing a MBA program from Symbiosis centre for distance learning(SCDL).
Does WES accepts this program as a Post graduate course?Can we get additional scores in EE points with this course?

Hi, WES did not accept my post graduation from SCDL. It said in the report non recognised university.

How did you apply for transcripts from scdl? i have been going through their website and cannot see any option. i am in toronto and would like to get transcripts from them for wes evaluation.

Please let me know if PGDBA form SCDL is recognized by WES? If yes, how can we get a transcript from SCDL?

SCDL format for transcript is basically a letter. It does not even show marks obtained in each semester which is the sole purpose of transcript certificate. I had to bang my head to get that put up in transcript. It may not be recognised by wes but will help in showing your prospective employer that you did attend and passed that program.

May I ask on which program you went on FSW EE or FTW EE or PNP? Basically I also plan to immigrate to Canada and researching on various options.
Did you have job-offer before you moved?

Also if someone can confirm on the SCDL transcript value-add that would be good; as I also have a PGD from them. If its not much value-add or not recognized, then I wouldn't bother to get the transcript from them. WES seems to recgnize "Symbiosis international ... " but not SCDL.

I am able to see "Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning" in the University section from drop down. Does that mean WES now recognizes PGDip ?

No,scdl is not recognised. Period.
