Transcript from English Second Language School?

Hello,

I have been helping my friend with gathering all relevant documents for his application. He attended at a ESL school for some time. Should he include transcripts from the language school? The instruction is quite vague for that so we would like to make sure before submitting the application.

Dose your friend have a transcript for ESL ? As far as I know there is no transcript for ESL or LINC english courses

Yes, there is a transcript from ESL school too. But the instruction guide shows that "You are not required to submit proof of attendance at English/French as a second language training programs."

In this case, could Proof of attendance be also any transcript from ESL school?

I took ESL but they told me there is no transcript for the course .( Transcript is what you study during the course subjects ) ) and they do not have.

Are you sure that you have the transcript which indicate the subjects which studied during the course ( It is different from the certificate which is indicate your score for each section Listening ,reading writing and speaking)

Well, he attened at Global Village and was told they will issue a transcript if he wants. I believe he will ask them for one to submit as education records. I have a certificate from a public post secondaty school which doesn't indicate any scores on it. It may vary from school to school I guess.

Note that LINC/CLIC certificates cannot be used as school records that you may be required to provide with your citizenship application.

I asked LINC center about transcript for LINC course but they told me we do not have transcript for LINC course but they can give me a record for attendance so I will submit this record with my application.
(I Know they mentioned they do not need the attendance for LINC but I will include it with my application to be in safe side because I will write LINC course in work/Education) for your friend I suggest to include the transcription also

Also they mention

Provide photocopies of all your official education records if you attended an educational institution in the four (4) years immediately before the date of your application. Official education records are:

report cards; or
transcripts; or
attendance records

so if he attach attendance records it not required to attach transcripts
