Hello,

I'm looking at trackit.com and it seems that most people have the AOR letter date before the date the file was transfered to the local Visa office. I always thought that the local Visa office had to receive the file first before sending the AOR.

Thank you,

Paul

Well, some people don't record their stats accurately. ;p

AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt. It is just a letter saying that have received the file and when they began processing it. So they may send the letter AFTER they have received and begun processing the file. Every visa office does things differently and many don't even send out AOR letters.

Those are probably inland applications. they would receive a AIP. there is no spot for it so they put it there I suppose :)
