I just had my medical exam.

Buy my urine sample both came back with glucose...

The clinic decided to just send out my results and the embassy decide.

Everything else is normal.
BP
Chest xray
Creatinine
Blood exams for STD and HIV

I'm kind of stressed out thinking about this. Will I be denied? Or will I have to repeat medical? Wish anyone can help.

You may need to do a blood test for AIP.

Thanks for the reply.

What's AIP? I'd like to clarify that I'm on QSW and started my federal stage.

They already took my blood and checked my Creatinine. It's normal

Sorry I was tired that should read A1C. Creatinine has to do with kidney function. Sugar would mean they would be looking at your pancreas.

Did you perform A1C for you to pass the medical? Thank youu

Hi. This was in 2019.

They took a look at my creatinine clearance. It was well within normal. Someone explained it to me that they check more for kidney damage for people with high blood pressure and diabetes. Cause kidney disease is expensive and does show if your body is in a bad shape and you won't be medically fit.

That was in 2019 though. I'm in Canada now. Arrived in Nov 2019

No, the hba1c wasn't ordered anymore.

Thank you so much.

Did they inform you that they looked at your creatinine? Thank you

I had to do the medical twice. 2018 and then 2019. Because the 2018 validity was only 1 year. I passed that without any problems.

My 2019, I had the trace urine thing. The UA came out before my physical exam and blood test. I was informed by staff that my U/A glucose was high. It was afternoon so I had to leave because it was closing time.

I returned the next day for the rest of my labs with bloodworks and then the physical exam with the doctor.

The doctor was the one who told me she'll check my crea, it was normal.

I'd like to add a few things to make this clear.

  • This was in 2019
  • QSWP
  • In the Philippines
  • I had a prior medical exam that showed I was completely healthy
  • The rest of my labs were normal, though my BP was a bit elevated cause I suffer from white coat syndrome (i get nervous around doctors and nurses who take my blood pressure)
I highly suggest, if you're months away from medical or just started processing your application, start getting healthy.

Have a complete check up with bloodwork, urinalysis etc and work with a doctor to get healthy.

Had my medical done last dec. 1 thats when I found out that my urine has glucose. Although same case with you, I had my 1st medical last 2020 and everything was normal it just expired. From Philippines also kabayan

Hello. I'm under Work Permit application under AIP. My medical results indicated sugar 3+ in my urine. All results are normal particularly my Creatinine. Does anyone have the same situation here? Does it will impact my work permit application? Does it qualify for medical inadmissibility? Does further test needed? Thank you for your reply.
