Tourist Visa Validity for Family Application

Hi, would like to ask if any body has experienced applying for a Canadian visa as a family?

It said that the validity would be 10 years or one month before expiry of passport, whichever comes first. (They dont issue visas beyond expiry of passport)

Based on our experience with the US Visa, we all got 10years as a family. Me and my family have different expiry dates on our passport. With some expiring as soon as next year. So will we all have different visa validities? In this case we would like to renew our passports before giving them in

Has any one ever got a 10 year visa regardless of the expiry of their passport.

No Canada never issues visa beyond passport validity.

The US and Canada are different countries with their own independent sets of immigration rules.

Go ahead and renew your passports together just to make your TRV application worthwhile.
