I am citizen of Ukraine currently in the USA on B1/B2 (tourist visa). I would like to visit Canada for 7-10 days as a tourist from the USA (driving from NYC).

I understand that I need a tourist visa but have questions:

1. What type of proof I can present to show that I have ties to USA (where I currently reside as a tourist). I have no work permit or permission to study.

2. How much money do I have to show on my bank account?

3. Is this a fairly straightforward process in my case or should I expect some difficulty?

Thank you

1. The only thing you can show is your tourist visa. However you should provide evidence to show you have ties to Ukraine and will be returning there.
2. I would show at least $2,000.
3. Hard for any of us to say.

Thank you for your response! So I have to show ties to Ukraine (my home country) despite the fact that most of the last 2 years I spent in the USa as a tourist?

If you have been in the US for two years on a tourist visa then I don't think there's any way you can prove you have strong ties to Ukraine. You can't show ties to the US since you don't have permanent status there. You'll just have to hope that showing your valid US visitor visa will be enough.
