I am a 30 year old person who want to go on tour in Canada for 6 months. My dad is going to sponsor me. My profile: I am a management graduate and have 6 to 7 years of work experience in luxury car sales (i.e. Audi and Jaguar). I have invitation letter of my one PR holder friend of Canada who will take care of my finance and travel expense . I have 10,000CAD to show in my dad's account, which I just transfered 10 days back. Should I go to apply for the visa?

Hi,

The short answer: NO

Do not apply. You will be refused for a number of reasons.

Here's why:
1. A visit of 6 months is not that of a typical visitor. It shows extremely weak ties to India. Keep your visit to 2-3 weeks max. if you want to be approved.

2. You do not have any finances of your own. As you've been employed since the last 6-7 years, you must prove you can pay for this holiday. Not your dad.

3. Are you currently unemployed? Audi, Jaguar, etc will not approve your leave for 6 months.... unless you're employed at a dealership.

4. Do you have any previous travel history? Not to countries like Singapore, Mauritius, Thailand, Dubai, etc.... but to the US/UK/Schengen countries?

5. Do you own property/land? Any lease agreement in your name?

6. Do you have family who is dependent on you for their well-being or financially?

Cheers

How long have you been employed at the software company?

Any employment gaps between Audi/Jaguar and the software company?

Does your bank balance match your known income (as per the ITRs, salary slips)..... or would your dad transfer the money to your account?

Do you have any financial investments: FDs, RDs, shares, mutual funds, EPF, PPF, LIC, etc?

What evidence can you provide for your wedding? Invitation cards (including sending the invites to family/friends), booking the wedding venue, etc?

PS: I'm not a Mr. :)

IMO your chances of getting a TRV are slim to none.

You should defer applying for a TRV by another 6-8 months by which time:
1. Your probation will be over at the software company.... i.e. you will be able to establish employment ties.

2. You can save money for your visit (unofficially, about CAD 1000 per week + airfare + surplus for incidentals). Your dad paying for your visit will not work.

3. You can demonstrate other strong ties: Lease agreement, financial investments, etc
