Hi. I am from the Philippines and just got married recently to a PR holder in Canada. My husband and I are planning to apply for the visitor's visa to get me there faster. I am currently employed, been working in the company for more than 1 year. I have $2000 Canadian dollar in my savings account. Unfortunately, I don't have any house property or car. But I just recently renewed my contract with my company last Feb. 7, 2014 and that contract will end Feb.7 , 2015. So my question is, will they consider my visa application considering I only have my job, savings and the fact that I am married to a PR holder in Canada?

I will really appreciate your response.

P.S, I have my company contract, Certificate of Employment, Passbook, Salary Payslips and I could request for a leave letter from our company.

What is the purpose of your visit? What does it mean "to get me there faster"?

You can try, but the chances are not very good:

- Your job is only good for less than a year, which weakens its value as a tie to your country, neither you have worked too long for them.
- You are married and that raises suspicion on your actual purpose of visit, how would the officer know once you are here you won't apply for PR?
- You are recently wed, so it raises suspicion if the marriage was just a way to help you immigrate faster.

I would not advise you to go through this path. I think the better way is to actually start a PR application. Yes, it takes time but if you are eager to be together he can travel for a couple of weeks later in the year.

The $ you have is not sufficient. General rule of thumb is $1000/week of stay.
