Tourist visa query (for accompanying an international student)

Hello,

Can someone please clarify me on this issue:

I know someone who will be going to Canada this August with study permit. Her father is willing to accompany her and them come back after like seven days. So in this case, what are the required documents to apply for TRV? And does he need a "purpose of visit" letter? If someone got a sample, can you please let me know and I will inbox you my email.
