Hello, I am currently applying for a Canada tourist visa to attend a graduate school for 5 days. I am currently studying abroad, in Italy, and I was unsure about what to write in my current residence address. I am a Turkish citizen, but I have a student residence permit in Italy and currently I have a rental contract so I live here.

So in short, I should put my Italy address as the current one, is it correct? I also added in the same page that I had lived in Turkey since I was born and I also selected I'm still a resident there, since I still go there and stay for some time, so my residence there didn't end. But I was confused, so I wanted to ask for help.

Thank you very much in advance.

Italian address as you are applying from Italy, and student in Italy. Why do you need to attend a school for 5 days?
It's some sort of a summer school. I am a PhD student, so I must attend summer/graduate schools to collect ECTS. I was also debating whether I should apply for business visa but I am just a student with scholarship. I got an invitation letter from the organization in Canada as well, I added it as an additional document.

Why a business visa? You include course schedule, funds, and ties to return.

It was just my initial thought but then as you said I decided to upload my scholarship and enrollment documents while applying simply for a tourist visa.
You need to show ties to return to Italy so that would be your school documents. A business visa is to attend business meetings with letter from Canadian company.

Thank you very much. It was a different procedure when I was applying for Italy, and apart from that it is my first time applying for a visa so I was a little confused. I'd like to ask one more thing. How much money do I have to state? I showed an amount of 5-6k euros in my bank account, is it enough?

If all in cash in the bank it may be. IRCC wants to see that you have funds to visit Canada but not use all your savings. So you are only coming for 5 days and course is funded by university?

I have two bank accounts, combined together they have around 5-6k euros so I showed them both. They also ask how much money I have for my stay in Canada, and I wrote roughly the total amount I have in my bank accounts. No, the course is not funded by the university. I will be covering all my expenses. I just have a scholarship here in Italy from my PhD program, that's it.

So how much is the course? How much do you estimate expenses for the trip? When is the course?

Course registration is 400CAD (registration will be done later). Around €2000 for flight and accomodation combined. And during my stay €500 for my other expenses I considered. I have already downloaded my bank statements showing my current balance and transactions, and I will also provide flights and accomodation reservations (I am yet to pay for them). Also the course is at the end of May.

500 euros seems very low for food, transportation, incidentals etc. Hopefully you will get approval.
