Tourist dependent Visa for wife

Hi All,
I'm from India and currently on a temporary assignment in Toronto on W-1 worker visa.
My visa and workpermit just expired and I'm currently on implied status as a renewal request was filed a while ago - expecting a confirmation on this in the next few days.
My wife is studying in India and would like to visit me for a short term as soon as possible and do not intend to work here.

From what I read, I see my wife will need to apply for a tourist dependent visa from India which will be based on by Visa status.
Once I get a positive response on my work permit extension I'll be filing a request for Visa renevel/temporary w-1, but I see this will take another 3 weeks to complete.

Could you advice if its possible for her to apply for a tourist dependent visa based on my work permit? ( once I get WP renewed )
Is it by any chance possible for me to apply for my visa renewal and her new visa request together from Canada? ( ps : she's in India )
Or is the only option to wait untill my Visa gets renewed for her to apply from India based on my new visa?

So I got my work permit extension confirmation and will be initiating a trv request shortly.

Perhaps my ask last time was not clear.
- for my wife to apply for a dependent tourist visa to visit me ( for 3-4 months ) and not planning to work, can she initiate this from home country - India with me as a sponsor as I have a valid work permit (but not trv)?

or should I wait till I get my trv renewed inorder for her to initiate visa?
