I always read and try to visualize what a VO would be thinking if they were reading a submission. From reading your post, I am not sure what is actually going on. The immediate questions are: 1) Obviously a cut/paste from a brochure. Not sure if you wanted it to sound like it was in your own words; 2) Coming all the way to Canada from India for what is actually a 4 day whirlwind sightseeing tour is not credible; 3) Where are you coming to Canada from? Is it part of a larger trip?; 4) Are you meeting someone here?; 5) Planning to overstay?; 6) Job interview?
Do you see what I mean? I am not sure what kind of help you are asking for in this post? Can you give us an idea?

Is Canada part of another trip (for example are you going to the US and wanting to come to Canada for a few days before returning to India)? Four or five days just seems too short for the cost of flights and distance involved to be a convincing sightseeing holiday. Have you booked an actual tour package? Make your cover letter compelling. WHY do you want to see Ontario, interested in Canadian history, politics? Why is your time so short? Only have x number of vacation days or work responsibilities that draw you back home. Make sure you have solid ties to home, finances, travel history in the past. Good luck.

This helps put things in perspective. I hope you will take my comments as being constructive as that is how they are meant to be. This is what struck me:
1) I wouldn't include copies of my credit cards without covering some of the numbers, unless this is part of your payment information.
2) Correct spelling to ITINERARY
3) Copy of your employment contract? (proof of ties)
4) Marriage certificate (as further proof of ties)
5) Bonafide certificates of sons? Birth Certificates/citizenship? Where do they live? (another proof of ties?) Explain all this in the body of your letter. Itemize ALL your ties fully in the letter and with each, mention the provided certificates/property deeds/employment to back them up. Don't worry if the letter is more than a page long, it is important to include all the supporting information you have.
6) Tab your documents with the numbers as they appear in your cover letter so the VO can locate them quickly as he/she reads.
7) Letter still leaves me wondering WHY someone would choose to come all that distance to Toronto in hottest/most humid time for just five days. Would VO think: He is from a teaching institution and includes UofT in the itinerary. Is he meeting someone at the Uni? This feels like the real reason for the trip to me, but it is tucked into a hectic sightseeing schedule.
8) Is there anything you could LEARN from this trip to bring back to enhance in your College?

hi dear how are u

on covering letter u have to brief a lot in detail why you want to visiting Canada??? what places?? how u get there????? first of all writing in detail why Canada attracts you as a tourist........... why you choose Canada for tourist and visiting ????? why you choose only Toronto to visit as there are lot of other interesting and beautiful tourist places......... anyhow last year i am use this kind of itinerary and i got visa and now i am use it to for NEW Zealand visa her is the sample of the travel itinerary and reason why you choose said country:
New Zealand
New Zealand is one of my favorite countries to visit. It’s a long flight from most parts of the world, but it’s definitely worth it! It offers awesome landscapes, lots of different outdoor activities, and wildlife that can only be found in New Zealand. These images should give you a good idea of why you should visit New Zealand as well.

My Name is Aamir Nazir and I am belonging from Azad Kashmir Pakistan. Currently I am working as Senior Accounts Assistant from January 2006 to date with NMNCH Program in collaboration with Ministry of Health Govt of Pakistan/AJ&K. At the same time I am Owner of my Private Business which is named as “AAMIR MEDICOSE & DEPARTMENTAL STORE” which is run and supervised by my Brother and hired employee, because I have busy schedule in office, so that is why I can only give time to my business on weekends. (Saturday-Sunday). Previously I have already been visited Australia, Thailand & Singapore as Tourist. It’s my pleasure to inform you that I have 4 visa stickers of foreign countries on my passport. I have got two times Australian tourist visa, but just managed to travel one time, because due to busy schedule in office but when I was planning to visit again unfortunately my last passport was lost and during that period my visa was expire. I am engaged with my Cousin. Our wedding ceremony will be take place next year in the month of March 2013 after completion of her studies. I have my own home and live with my parents, sisters & brothers.

But now I am planning to visit Australia and Newzealand as tourist, because small Pacific island of New Zealand offers many characteristics. Its physical characteristics include glaciers, mountains, plains, hillsides, tropical forests, and volcanic plateaus, and sandy beaches. Its human characteristics include the native people of the region and the array of boating and coastline activity. I want to visit Newzealand for some recreational and tourism activities.
________________________________________
I want to visit New Zealand because it is a fascinating place. It is filled with mysteries that are just waiting to be revealed. New Zealand being a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean makes the thought of this far away island very interesting. New Zealand is a very beautiful place filed with wondrous characteristics.
I want to go there because New Zealand has many spectacular physical characteristics. First of New Zealand is filled with amazing glaciers, incredible fiords, rugged mountains, vast plains, rolling hillsides, tropical forests, volcanic plateaus, and miles of coastline with sandy beaches. New Zealand is also filled with thriving animal and plant life. Since the climate in New Zealand is hot the beaches are a number one spot for tourists to visit as well. What is very interesting is that the volcanic plateaus on this island can still create volcanic activity! Although the natural features of this island are fascinating the human characteristics are just as fascinating.
I love countries like Newzealand and Australia. There are a lot of hotels and resorts by the beaches and the coast line of the island. Me and also other people who want to visit New Zealand love to view the native people of this region. I am loved to watch the natives do ceremonial dances and celebrations in the age old towns and villages that the natives live in. Also, since New Zealand is surrounded by water, there are many harbors which boats use to travel and depart to and from the island.
As you know that New Zealand is filled with many characteristics. These characteristics will not only help me to understand about the island, but it will also help me to realize what this tiny island is like. This island has many tourists, yet the island does not exist on the sole purpose of tourism. That’s why I too wish to visit this amazing island. As you know that New Zealand is filled with many intriguing features, but there are still some that are waiting to be discovered!
I want to visit New Zealand because… it’s a traveler’s dream destination: beautiful landscape, amazing food, strong indigenous community, adventure activities. I love almost everything about New Zealand.
I must want to visited and seen following places in the Newzealand
• Civic Square 12-04-2012
• The Beehive 12-04-2012
• The Cable Car & Botanical Gardens 12-04-2012
• The Interisland Ferries 13-04-2012
• Lambton Quay 13-04-2012
• Cuba Mall 14-04-2012
• Oriental Parade 14-04-2012
• Katherine Mansfield Birthplace 15-04-2012
• The Colonial Cottage Museum 15-04-2012
• Bolton Street Memorial Park 16-04-2012

• St James Theatre & Opera House 18-04-2012
• Wellington City Art Gallery 19-04-2012
• Wellington Zoo 20-04-2012

If, I have time I want to visit to visit Auckland and want to see Auckland cricket grounds, it’s really beauty ……. I only seen these cricket ground on television I want to see these grounds live and want to take my snaps to sit in the grounds, I love Australian and newzealand cricket and their grounds master piece of arts.

I have enough money in my accounts in order to visit Newzealand, as first part of my journey I visit Australia and stay Perth at my friend home for at least 10 days. In this regard I have valid letter of Invitation from my friend which I am got by mail 02 days ago, after having clearance from your Office I am going to apply for Australian Visa. As my friend providing me return air ticket too from ISB-PERTH & PERTH-ISB.
But at the same time I have enough money to accommodate myself during my stay, I have Five Hundred Thousand in my current account which is equivalent to ……………NZ Dollar. Meanwhile I have fixed assets in another bank amounting to Rs. 111 which is equivalent to …………NZ in another fixed account bank.
I have assets of Pure gold which is value of amounting to rs 7 lksh equlnet ………. NZ Dollar.

I'd say it looks TOO ambitious. You would need a case of Red Bull in order to keep up that pace immediately after such a long flight. Really think about what it is you want to do in Toronto. Be realistic and leave SOMETHING to see the second time you come to Canada, LOL. Are you meeting a friend to take you around, will you use public transit or are you part of a tour group? I don't know Toronto at all, so what are the proximities of each day's activities? Do they make sense the way they are grouped together?

All you Vice Presidents and Doctors here, Please get your letter done from a professional, as your english and indenting leaves a very bad impression from someone representing “education” sector and makes it hard to believe.
I’m sorry but I would like to be brutally honest for you to be successful rather than sorry.

Secondly, “aaminnazir”- you really need to trim that letter into specific points, the visa officers do not have time to go through stories and that too in a language with so many grammatical errors, even if they start reading it, they will lose interest as it would be difficult to continue doing so.

Thirdly I would like to add to @Pippin, that I believe it would be more genuine if @vijay1974 is visiting toronto for an educational tour rather than pure touristic one. He may include an educational conference or something which is relevant to his profession. It will give a solid reason to visit.
