Total duration of study and possible work permit

Hi,

I am pursuing a one year MEng. Course at Ryerson University.
I have dropped a course recently and that i have to do next year.

So,my question is my total study duration will be counted as 1year + the duration to complete the dropped course. ??

And what will be the duration of work permit for 1year and n months (n=2,4,6) ??

It will be counted as a one year course, even if it takes you longer to complete.
