We know the local office in Scarborough so busy and all of us so worry so lets share what update we have here

as far i know Expect test in about 6-7 months from the time scarborough started processing application.

After test expect oath in 2-3 months if you pass.
please inform us the timeline which i mention so close to your case or diffident thanks all [flash=200,200][/flash] [/size]

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 4, 2011.


We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on July 4, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


We started processing your application on February 20, 2012... my file was transfered to scarborough already but i,m still waiting on a test date..

my application started processing on Feb 23, and transferred on March 14. I have not heard anything since then.

application received October 2011.
started processing March 2012
still waiting for the test date.
probably scarborough office.

i saw someone applied in july 2011 received test notice in june 2012 to take the test on a date in july. your test notice should come at any time now.

i spoke to someone at cic i was told that i will get a test date 6 to 7 months from the time my file was transferred to scarborough .. so i,m waiting ..maybe october but i,m studying
and scarborough office is back up at present because of the closing of a cic office NOT SURE which one.. so scarborough is also processing those files aswell

i thought they sent out test notice based on the application dates, not on processing date. i saw one case took 12 month to start processing, only took another 3 months for CIC to send test notice. that was also scarborough. St clair seems to be much faster.

I have new information about Scarborough office

if your file was transfer there the maximum by march 2013 you must get your test so any time B4 this

and as i mention before 6 :7 months since your file in the local office you shall 2 receive letter for the test

please check your mail regular and call the CIC every 2 weeks and ask about your test they will know

if you get letter before you receive it

the reason to call them may be the letter get lost or stolen so you dont need to suffer good luck guys

please do everybody else a favor here, do not call CIC every two weeks to bug them when you could get the test date. you are already enjoying the life in canada. that is the reason these days calling CIC helpline is so difficult to get connected. In canada, if things could not be done today, wait until tommorrow. one more day you waited, one less day you still have to wait. that was what I heard when the first day I came to Canada. my experience dealing with CIC was whenever you forgot your applications in CIC, that is the time they will contact you. but if you check every day, it will disappoint you every single time. it proved to be true for my own immigration, PR card renewal, my family sponsorship, now my citizenship application.

Please keep your advice for your self calling CIC help in many things

1-hire more people to answer the phone
2-hire more employee for CIC to finish the applications fast
3-update you in case if your letter lost in mail and you dont know
4-to be ready 1 week ahead before you get the letter for your test

as i see you didnt even share with us your timeline or anything please dont write useless lecture
keep for your self .
