To Get Canadian Visitor Visa for H1 Stamping when PR Got rejected in past.

Hi,

I am working in USA on H1B Visa. I would like to go Canada for my H1B Stamping.

I applied for Canada (Montreal) PR in 2010, but it got rejected due to my poor proficiency in a French language.

My brother and Sister-in-law have Canadian PR and stay in Canada since 2007.

Please help in answering my question.

(1) What are my chances to get Canadian Visitor Visa?

(2) How can I explain my rejection reason in “IMM 5257E” form – section (2-b)

(3) What should I mention in the intention to visit Canada?

(4) Has anyone been in a similar situation and attended Stamping at Canada ?

Your suggestion/opinions will be very valuable to me and I will be very grateful for that.

Thanks in advance.

1) No one can tell you what your chances are.
2) You should be honest about why you were refused. CIC can access these records easily.
3) Again, best to be honest. What is your actual intention for visiting Canada?
4) Yes - it's certainly possible to be approved provided you can demonstrate you have strong ties to your country of residence and have no plans on remaining in Canada long term.

Thanks Scylla. I am very grateful for the same.

3) My intention is to visit my family and go for stamping.

Regarding 4) , to demonstrate my strong ties to my country of residence -- I'll attache (a) Employer Letter (b) Bank statement.
Is that other document (example) can demonstrate strong tie to country of residence.

Tons of thanks
