To get benefits for children

Hi guys,
We got pr visa for canada ..planning to shift permanently in june 2016.we have two children 11 yrs and 5 yrs old...how can we get benefits like free schooling , tax benefits etc in Canada after going there..do we need to apply some type of document to get this..plz help.

When you move to Canada in June, you apply for child tax benefits, see http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/cctb/ and child care benefit, see http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/bnfts/uccb-puge/menu-eng.html

As for school, you first have to find a place to live and then you talk to the school district where you live and figure out which school your kids will be going to and enroll them there.

Try registering to Settlement Online Pre-Arrival (SOPA) in your destination province. It's a free program funded by IRCC. You will meet with a staff from SOPA to discuss about your settlement (benefits for your children, schooling/education, about your destination province, housing/accomodation and etc) and employment needs.
