Is Police clearance different from the FBI clearance? If so, can you guys share the process of obtaining a police clearance here in Long Beach Ca.

I search the CIC website for FBI and found this....

It says it can take 16-18 weeks. Yet I understood you have 4 months to get the background supporting documents together.

I think for the US - you need an FBI clearance not a local police report.
