Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Anyone who used Calgary Purolator here?

i am in the same boat as you.. i used a certified cheque too. on the brighter side, we removed the possibility of error due to issues in cc processing.

Why do you guys think certified cheque takes more time? How much time will that take anyway?

I am not sure they made a mistake on the time. it's usually the same guy delivery in the same route. I was told by UPS that the delivery guy should be experienced and know this stuff. If he dropped off at 7:36 am. most likely it's like the another guy mentioned in my previous post that CIC might decided to take application a little bit early this year to reduce the line up. we will find out.

I have the same time as you via UPS. Maybe they had a guy standing in line while the other one gave the applications?? Local companies do that..

Purolator Calgary Mess it up big time. I call customer service and they said that our documents are still here in Calgary and will arrived at Mississauga CIC office tomorrow. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( Promised 9AM today was not done....

I am sorry man. That is so terrible. I hope somehow you guys still make it.

He told me that the first 3 courier guys had about 1,000 applications...

that's insance, 3 local courier guys already had 1000 apps, went with Fedex, even though it said delivered at 9 something, is still quite risky then....

thanks!.. pretty sure that the cap will be hit by noon this time around then.
Fedex, canada post, ups, purolator being the big guys will carry at least 1000 each on the first day.. maybe another 2000 with all other couriers combined. so there should be about 6-7K applications on the first day itself. and considering that someone just went to CPC missi and saw no lineups there, I would think that majority of these applications have been delivered.

could be timezone difference.. make sure you check that.

Even my status just says in transit and no update. wth man when they say next day delivery then why didn't they send it?? I think even my application is also in Edmonton and never been sent

well.. the difference is not in processing time. certified cheque settlement will likely be faster. Its just that they dont inform applicants when they charge the fees. If you use CC you will see it right away in the statement. with certified cheques, the money is taken out from the account when we sign the cheque.. so we wont know when they processed it.
