Timing question

How long does it usually take between when an application for sponsorship is received to when they start to look at it?
Track and trace courier shows when the package was delivered but nothing is showing online. We haven't heard anything from CIC so I'm wondering if they sit on these for awhile or if they process them but don't enter anything for us to check online.
Just curious (and waiting).
