Hi Sir Ragluf,
Tungkol po sa above topic, kung mauuna kaming mag asawa sa Canada & then babalikan mga kids before the visa expires, is it necessary na ung principal applicant ang babalik to get my kids or pupuede ung asawa ko nalang bumalik to get them?
Thank u & God bless,
No not necessary for the PA - as soon as you landed, either of you can go back and then accompany the kids. Pwede din naman sila (kids) travel alone, pero me mga ibang requirements para dun sa PH (i.e. DSWD etc.)
However, please note:
1. When you land - paso na ang PR visa nyo (nagamit na ang single entry eh), so hangga't wala pa kayong PR card, hindi kayo pwede lumabas lang ng Canada then enter back. Either
- hintayin nyo ang PR card nyo muna then sunduin ang kids or
- apply for a PRTD (Travel Document) habang wala pa ang PR cards. Itong PRTD is sort of a entry document (parang "visa" for PRs
) na pwede nyo magamit as a re-entry doc, so you can go to the PH, sunduin ang kids, then balik sa Canada - kung wala ka pang PR card.
Pag nakuha nyo na ang PR cards nyo - no need for visa's anymore up to validity/expiry ng PRC.
Iba ang PR visa at ang CoPR at the time of landing - visa allows you to travel/enter Canada (entry document), CoPR (status document) shows your eligible status that will be enabled after landing. Right now - hangga't di pa kayo nag "land", hindi pa kayo PR officially.
2. Pwede nyo lang samahan mag-land ang mga dependents/kids, pero they will do the landing (i.e. appear in front of the CBSA officer) on their own.
Make sure me copy sila ng CoPR ng PA, and kapag sinamahan nyo sila, have your IDs (Canada issued) available to present to the CBSA officer. Yung copy ng CoPR ng PA will show kasama sa listahan ng dependents ang mga kids, and the IDs will show proof of your residence in Canada.
