Timeline for Background Check "Not Needed at this Time" ---> "In Progress"

Is there an estimated timeline for the background check to move to in progress? My medical check was moved to passed a few days ago, but no movement at all in other sections.

You can get that information from general spreadsheets, I guess, it should be there. Some of them even have a "days to BG in progress" column, already calculated.
To give an example - my medcheck was "passed" on Nov 23, and no movement since)

thank you! seems like for some it moves to "in progress" almost immediately and for others it takes up to one month or more. I wonder if being nominated or having a job offer is something that speeds up the process.

Don't know about that, unfortunately. What I did notice is that if your medicals are passed pretty fast, in a couple days after AOR, you usually get stuck waiting for the BG check (like in my case), and if your BG check starts soon after AOR, the medicals are not finalized till the very end of the process. When was your AOR?
