a friend of mine just got approval from canada and now his application is with islamabad local visa office. he wants to know how long woud it take for him to hear backfromthem. and if he gets the visa how long can he stay in pakistan before he leves for canada and how soon can he come back to pakistan once he lands in canada. :p

The visa remains valid one year from the date of medical.

When did he submitted his full application to Islamabad.

Islamabad-CHC has not issued FSW visa for fast track applicants who had medicals after July 2009. There is a long queue and we all are eagerly waiting for the issuance of PPR and Visas.

He will probably get an AOR by the end of February 2010. Keeping the current trends in view he may have the Visa by December 2010.

So the current trend is one year after sending full documents? That is sloe compared to the pace of 2009, particularly the first half. :(
