Wondering how long is given between receiving visa and needing to "land"in Canada? Just really needing to time everything right.

It usually depends on the time you had your medical exam. For example, you had it 5 January 2016, then you will have to land not later than 5 January 2017.

Fantastic! Thank you!
Any guess as to how long it takes them to put the visa I your passport once they have it? I'm sending it express today. We fly to Canada Jan 19 :/

I received DM today, and have an entry date no later than 19/03/2017. This date doesn't seem to match anything else. Medical was done on Feb 11 2016, App sent on March 31st and received April 6th. Received DM on 16/12/2017 so it's not even 3 months from DM date.

Wow! I didn't even realise that there was a date that they specified that you must arrive by (other than 12 months since medicals). Is that common?

Also, excuse my ignorance, but what is DM?

Yes there is a date. DM is Decision Made.
