Hi, here is the status of my Temporary Work Permit (ICT) application:

Applied: 30th Nov 2021
Biometrics already given in 2020 and noted in application
Medical request: 31st March 2022

Assuming that the visa (hopefully) gets approved soon, is there a duration within which one is required to fly to Canada, after which the permit becomes invalid? I've seen a couple of threads in this forum where people had 6-12 months to travel. Is that the norm or is it possible for a situation where, e.g. IRCC expects you to fly in within 15-30 days to activate the permit?

Thanks,

You can fly up until the expiry of your work permit.

Hello,

I really appreciate your feedback on the spouse's open work permit. I have been working in Canada since June 2020, and I applied for SOWP for my wife in Dec 2020 (outland). Yesterday, she received PPR. However, my current WP will be going to end in June 2022, which is in 3 months. I applied already for a new work permit inside Canada. Does it create any problem in the port of entry for my spouse, when she land in Canada?. Does my IRCC letter (the letter provided for authorization to work until my new work permit issue) allow her to enter Canada? Please give me a suggestion?

No issues as long as she lands before expiry.
