TIME REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN APP. FOR TRV

can anybody reply for my question that in how much days before( any function or wedding in canada)the application for visitor visa(TRV) should be submitted at the visa office in india?
is 10days time period okay before the occasion
please reply.
and is it possible to get passport at the counter in emergency from passport office which is already submitted to renew?
I NEED HELP please reply soon anyone.

bro it depends, bcoz minimum processing time is 5 working dayz and maximum v can't say anything, bcoz i have applied for trv at vfs chandigarh and waiting since 11 dayz bt have'nt got any response yet, so acc to me, u must apply 3 weeks minumum before u want 2 fly

but my passport is not issued yet so what can i do now? is it possible to get the passport in emergency at the counter of passport office?

well. u may apply ur passport in tatkal service , by da way where u r applying ur passport, in tatkal service u may get ur passport in 1 week time,and if u want 2 fly by 15th so i think u must apply by 1st week of march rest depends on visa officer i had applied on 13th feb and i showed my ticket of 3rd march, sometime chc dispatch pp within 3-4 days bt i'll say again it jst depends on visa officer

thank u so much for ur reply,we had applied from jaladhar (punjab) passport office and they said that they have registerd the passport on 22nd feb so we r from nawanshahr distt, i don't hope it will reach us within 3-4 days that up to monday or tuesday/ do u have any view about this situation? can u plz reply if i m not bothering u.

dear friend i dnt wanna hurt u bt truth is getting passport in Punjab within 3-4 dayz is nt an easy job, it will easily take 2-3 months bt if u apply in tatkal service it will nt only cost u extra passport fees evn u hve 2 spend alot under da table for getting police clearence and all tht

and one more thing current processing time at CHC Chandigarh for visitor visa is 35 days

DONT WORRY EVEN I HAVE APPLIED FOR RENEWING MY PASSPORT IN PUNJAB LAST YEAR AND I GOT MY REISSUED PASSPORT WITHIN EXACT 28 DAYS

yeah the passport is dispatched on 23rd feb and may we can receive in next two days and we can apply on monday.so its very hard to hope to get a visa.because we have only 17 days for application process.lets see what happen.i think its 20 percent chances of positive result in our situation.oh god help us plzz.

why cant u go after 17 days?
atleast u can try ur luck

are u going to submit any kind of ticket or showing any event which u have to attend on 17th day because if u does so then it is like u can get visitor visa before that (high probability) but if the processing would pass over the given date then there will be very low chance of getting a visa
the thing is u have only 17days
are these working days?
or including weekends too!

well, i think u must apply asap for tht, and u r frm punjab so can't evn apply in new delhi, v people left wid only 1 option tht is CHC Chandigarh, tht is taking approx 35 dayz rest depends on luck and VO, click dis link, dis is showing current processing times

make sure u add 2 things in ur application
1 Purpose of visit
2 Very strong tie ups with your home country

dese r da 2 most important reason u must take care of it

hi everyone
actually i am a live in care giver in canada and its my husband who is trying to visit here in canada on a visitor visa.
he has a very strong bank balance as we have our OWN AGRICULTURE FARMS (ALMOST NEAR ABOUT 15-16)
and i think its possible to apply in new delhi.
and the purpose of visit is to attend a birthday party celebration in hall and kirtan at gurdwara which is on 17th march.
so i am so much much worry about that the chances of getting visa is low its just because I AM ( HIS WIFE) IS ALREADY IN CANADA.
so the result will come out within few days.lets see....
but my heart seems like stop beating guys.....i am completely died to think about this visit visa.
plz guys i need your help and advices in this situation.

and the very strong tie up is our daughter who is 4 years old back in india so my husband has one excuse that he has to come back for our daughter......its my own thinking.....do u have any view about this point

ohhh m in da same boat da only difference is my wife is student in canada n i have applied for trv, bt dnt worry ur husband's chances r gud 2 get visa, if hez having property and bank balance on his own name and he also has 2 show ITR or some kind of business so tht he can show his strong tie-ups in India and it also depends
1 since how long u r living in Canada
2 ur visa status
3 husbands travel history

Can't apply in Delhi if he is from Punjab because people of punjab harayana and chandigarh can only apply in Chandigarh nt in Delhi

hmm chances r positive if ur daughter is nt applying along wid ur husband, der was a lady on dis forum, she applied for trv along wid her kidz and she was rejected, her husband was student in Canada dn i advised her 2 apply alone without kidz and she got da visa in 2nd attempt bcoz children can prove strong home country tie-ups
