Time needed to process under CEC

Hi all,

I'd like to find out how long it takes from submitting the application to being granted PR under the CEC class as a Canadian graduate w/ working experience. Also, I am graduating with a bachelor degree (4 years) from a Canadian university and will start my research-based PhD in the same school; will I be eligible to apply under CEC after the first year of the PhD program?

Typically the processing time is 6months from the date you submit your application. If you can accumulate 1950 hours of paid work as a research assistant after 1 year, then you are eligible to apply for CEC under the graduate stream.
