Hello all

My medical report was sent to Singapore on June 30. I haven't heard back from VFS yet. I couldn't even reach them over the phone. For some reason the call doesn't go through.

Anyone have any idea if this is a normal case?

If it helps, I got my medical exam done from Dr. Habibur Rahman.

Thanks in advance.

Hey bro,

I got my meds done from IOM today. They said the reports will be sent tonight and I will receive an SMS that will provide me with the tracking info. And VFS seems to have blocked incoming calls as far as I can conclude, as my calls don't reach them either :S. Neither VFS nor the DMPs mention the time span for the processing but my doc said that since its a study permit application, you will hear your verdict as soon as possible. They tend to prioritize student applications and try their best to avoid delays. You will hear your decision soon insha Allah :). And keep tracking your progress on the VFS site. You never know when you might be taken by surprise ;). Good luck and keep us posted!

Hello RIDZ

I called the medical center up and they told me that my report was nothing out of the ordinary. So I am a bit confused about the apparent delay. I have heard of people getting their passport back in less than two weeks.

Has anyone ever been rejected after the medical exam?

Thanks again.

Well I had a little chat with my practitioner regarding this. He said that they try their best to make the reports as sound as possible and the rest is up to the revisers in Singapore. You never know if they ever want any additional tests to be done. But such cases are extremely rare. As long as your practitioner says you're fine, you are FINE (Alhamdulillah). So far I have only heard about one Afghan student getting refused after medical. But his case was different. The Embassy couldn't get in touch with him and they had no choice but to refuse him. Just a gap in communication; other than that everything was perfect. So don't you worry. I have no concrete explanation to why its taking this long. I have a friend who got his visa in 5 days after his medical and another friend who got it after 2 months. So its completely unpredictable. That's why the VFS receipt does not have the date on it (only the online tracking info). Have faith and you'll get your visa soon insha Allah!!

Cheers :D

Thanks RIDZ

Keep us updated about your VFS adventures.

Definitely bro. Keep me in your prayers. Hope we get our passports soon insha Allah!! :D

Hey bro,

I couldn't help but think about your situation. According to the VFS site it should take about less than two weeks for your passport to be returned with the stamp. The VFS guys told me not to expect calls as they don't notify students on the phone, after resubmitting the passport. Do you track your status everyday? Does it still say "under processing"? If so, I would suggest you to call Dr Habib and ask him if everything is ok and why is it taking this long. I believe everything is fine and there's nothing to panic about but there's no harm in extracting additional info :)

Hello RIDZ

I called Dr Habib's office and he assured me that the report is normal.

I managed to get through a call to VFS today and the lady said that 1 month is normal. She also told me that she will call me as soon as the passport reaches VFS.

I know, weird situation...

Keep us updated about your news.

Thanks.

p.s

I track my passport everyday, more than once. It still says under processing.

Whew that was quite a relief!!
Anyway let me know when you receive your passport. My reports were SUPPOSED to reach the med office in Singapore today but there probably wasn't anyone at the door so they returned it to the office and postponed the delivery until tomorrow. Let's hope we both get our visas soon insha Allah :D

Will keep you posted too. Tc bro

1. VFS will call you once your passport reaches their hand (generally around 10:00am to 11:30am of the lucky day).
2. VFS keeps their phone connection unplugged. They only connect it when calling people who's passports are available for collection.
3. Lots of applications are pending after medical till now. I know 2 people (being almost a month) and they are yet to receive call. So as many more applicants. I guess it is because of the load that they are going through right now.

Hello rhasan

Thank you for the information.

I am assuming you were talking only about applicants from Bangladesh. Do you happen to know the average time needed for getting the passport back after re-submission?

Thanks again.

rhasan bhai to the rescue again :D

Bro my package was dated to be delivered today but I guess there wasn't anyone to receive it so the delivery was postponed until tomorrow. How long do you think it would take once they start processing? A month? Because I got deadlines approaching for residence and tuition fees so I gotta know if I should start making the transfers already instead of waiting for a call from VFS (those dudes were kinda rough when I asked about calls and said just keep tracking instead of awaiting calls :S)

Generally it's around 10 working days (I got mine in 10 wd) but since this is the "peek" time of applications, so I guess 10wd doesn't apply anymore.

Didn't you do your med yesterday? How come it is due today? Because it takes 4 days for the report to reach Singapore by FedEx (the package will reach within 2 days but they will have the status "DELIVERY DUE" or something like that (won't deliver it till the 4th day comes)!

I think it would be better to be prepared for wire transferring the deposit dues. CHC/Singapore is not doing their job effectively as far as I can see. They should hire more people at this time!

I did my med on Monday and they sent it that night itself. According to the site the "estimated delivery" was 27th July 6:30pm. The activity even stated that it was on the FedEx vehicle for delivery. My AWB: 873488840550. But then an unusual activity showed up ("delivery exception") and the estimated date was postponed. I wonder why so :S

I'll start the wire transfer from Dubai tomorrow insha Allah. Takes about 15 wd to be updated on my financial account and my deadlines on Aug 15th. Let's just hope the medical report processing lag comes to an end right away!
