hi! So im PR and me and my wife got married last APRIL 2015. We've been in relationship for almost 8yrs so I dont have to worry about proving our relationship and marriage because i have lots and lots of past pictures.

Now, i applied my wife's papers last July and yesterday i got an email saying that im ELIGIBLE TO SPONSOR MY WIFE. Now she will do the upfront medical at MANILA. I already paid all fess including Right to Permanent Resident Fee.

Question will be, how long it might take to process and request her passport to send to Candian Embassy?

Im hoping to get feedback most especially for those who has the same situation.

Thanks for the response!!!

You'll probably get faster answers if you post to the Manila thread:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/new-manila-visa-office-philippines-spousefamily-timeline-t325837.1695.html

Note that Manila tends to request the passport very early on in the process. So a passport request doesn't necessarily indicate that they are ready to issue the visa.

Hi, I am also a July applicant. I received a letter yesterday - September 22 that I am eligible to sponsor my husband and my application has been forwarded to Manila for further processing. He is now working on his medical examination and I already paid the RPRF. Just like you, I'm also waiting if how long would it take for the CEM to ask my husband's passport.

Hi kababayans, I am also excited to process my papers for PR :D Based on what I red in this forum, It's usually takes less than 6 months but the maximum is 16 months. :) pray hard and always think positive..
by the way, what are the documents you submitted to the embassy? because I am gathering all the documents we needed so that it is easy for me to compile it in one file.. hehe thank you!
