hi,
Can you please tel me the right time of spouse visa? because i am confused about the time written on web (56 days).
Secondly my wife is PR holder, she got called for his citizenship test and she traveled to Canada, She wasn't clear the test in first attempt. Now she is waiting for the next call.. My question is, I am living in Pakistan and we are planning to settled in Canada. My wife also got medical checkup from there and we got the news that she is pregnant. so we also planed to give our baby birth in Canada. Now we are planing to apply for the visit visa because i have to be with my wife for our first baby birth. After visit visa then we apply for spouse visa....
so will it be correct way?? as we have all our document legal and genuine. i am running my own advertising business with my DAD here in Pakistan. we will come back to Pakistan after our baby birth. but our spouse possess will be continue...
Kindly guide me the right way what we do.....

56 days is the initial processing time for your spouse (sponsor) evaluation of file. It is not the time that it takes to complete your file for visa. For Pakistani's the timeline of spousal visa is 32 months. Though the good news is that now most (if not all) applicants under family sponsorship is going to London Visa Office. Their timeline is 11 months. That being said, as a PR you can't leave the country for to long. I believe the rule is like to live in Canada for atleast 2 years in a 5 year span. If they cross that limit you can lose your PR status. The proper way to apply for visit visa would be, to apply for spousal visa and then visit visa. That way your spousal visa can be in process as you are visiting your wife in Canada. That being said, make sure you satisfy the Visa Officer (its not 100% they issue visa for sure)
