Hi everyone,
First of all please forgive me if this question has been posted before in any other thread. If it had please let me know I'll be happy to delete this one
So my wife and I are living in Canada since January 2016. At that time we were engaged. We got married in Ontario and I applied for her PR Visa under the Family Class end of May 2016. Her visa was approved by CIC last week and she's probably going to have her landing interview next month as per our expectations.
So when we applied for her PR, we initially did not apply for an OWP for her, which we ended up doing only in December 2016 and the OWP was issued in March 2017.
Considering that she's going to be a PR let's say in August 2017, at that point will she have about 9 months of credit for the citizenship as she's been living in Canada for 18 months total? Or will she only get credit for the time she had the OWP, which in this case would be about 5 months giving her a credit of about 2 and a half months?
Thanks in advance
