Hi all,

I applied for immigration as a skilled worker from Saudi Arabia (London Visa Office) way back in July 2005. I did my medicals and paid the landing fee in December, 2008. Since then i have received no communication from the visa office. Can any one tell me how long does it normally take after medicals to get a request for the passport. Thanks

Zubair

Hello Zubair,

I really did not want to hurt anybody's emotion. On the contrary I hurt my own emotion.

Actually, as someone said before in a forum like this one, "It is Anxiety, depression, nail biting moments....or anticipation, hope, reckoning,miracles....Look at ecas..."in progressssssssss"...as if time stood still somewhere."

You see sometimes, we just try to communicate to each other because it can soothe our mind.

Well, usually it may take around 3 to 5 months. Hope this time line works for you. Good-luck!!!

Time After Medicals And PR Fees paid.

Hi All,
I had applied for the Canadian PR through the Federal Skilled Worker's program on Feb 2008 and recieved my acknowledgement around April 2008. The eCas status shows that my present status is "In Process". I recieved the request for Medicals, Police clearance certificates, Permanent residence fees etc during the month of Oct 2008. I also sent the required documents, PR Fees, completed my medicals by Nov 2008. After that i have not heard anything from the Buffalo office for the Passport request or anything. Also i am planning to go for a vacation to India. So i wanted to find out if it is fine if i contact the Buffalo office for the status through email or fax? But will this delay my processing times. Can someone help me how long would it take for the Buffalo office to request for the passport from us once we complete medicals and paid the required permanent residence fees.

Hello vidya_s,

Since your medicals were done in nov08 they are valid for 1 yr,that's what the lawyer told me.They should make a decicision and you should land by that month provided all goes well.Otherwise they might ask for medicals again.
Can anyone else confirm this.

I have seen in some cases recently that applicants are asked (in the same medical request letters) to send their passports exactly a month after having their medicals done. But may be thats just for applicants under the new system.

Hello Zubair,
I am exactly in the same position as you are. Medicals requested on October 2008 and done by december 2008. I have not received any news from the authorities yet and I am a little bit desperate. Does anyone knows if there is some kind of delay?

Thanks

Dear juana ,

Please do not be desperate.

Okay, let me tell you once again about my story. Although, my case is being processed in Singapore, however, after Medicals and RPRF payment, it is more or less similar everywhere. The usual expected Time Frame is around 3-5 months.

I have finally received an email from the CHC/CIC Singapore, which says that they will be issuing a Medical Examination Form for my Baby (boy) in next few days. He was just few days old during our medicals and I was preparing to inform the CIC about his birth at that time.

Just for your information, our (I and my wife) medicals were done on 23rd of September, 2008. My RPRF was paid long back too. And Since then there was no news at all.

So, may be there are many more like you and me, need to have patience.

Note> I have applied as a Quebec PR. (the processing time is usually much faster than FSW).
