Hi,

Careers in Hospitality and culinary are very different, even though both are related and form the most important parts of the hotel industry.

Hospitality careers are usually pursued after doing courses such as hotel management diploma, degree and after passing out you work as front desk attendant, in housekeeping operations, beverage and food server etc etc. Most of these are related to management and working of the hotel industry. Also, keep in mind..most of the entry level jobs after Hospitality courses are categorized as semi skilled or NOC-C category jobs..and hence are not skilled. In order to qualify under AINP, you will need a skilled job in your area of study.

Whereas a career in Culinary is different. It's where you become a cook, line cook.. all the way to a top level chef, with years of work ex. All jobs categorized as COOK, Chef are SKILLED NOC-B level jobs, and this is categorized as a Skilled trade (services). So, if you have a knack , interest and skill for cooking, you may very well pursue a 2 years Culinary Arts/Management Diploma. After passing out from a recognized educational culinary program of 2 years in Alberta, you will need to find a job as an Apprentice, which will be an entry level skilled trade job under Cook category of Alberta Trades.
Under AINP skilled trades category- You don't need to do the job for any number of months (not even 6 months, for other graduates under general international graduates stream of AINP), just a full time job offer as an apprentice cook, after culinary arts diploma, will qualify you for AINP nomination under compulsory optional trade criteria.

To know more about practicing any trades in Alberta see: http://tradesecrets.alberta.ca/learn-on-the-job/trades-alberta/ (See the cook section)

Above two links and detailed information about AINP, I mentioned in my last reply to your post. Did you even go through the links.. instead of continuously asking questions ! You need to do some work on your own too.. go through the links, research for yourself.. select a particular course and college. Everything cannot be spoofed to you. I'm telling this..because I'm sure you didn't go through all the links mentioned in my previous reply about detailed AINP rules and practicing trades in Alberta. if you had gone through the trade secret Alberta site, Cook section..you would have seen that in Edmonton area- there's only 1 recognized good educational institute offering 2 years diploma in Culinary Arts - I.E NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). -- www.nait.ca/
Program link: http://www.nait.ca/program_home_77767.htm

Details about skilled trade occupation of Cook/Chef in Canada ( Read my reply on a previous thread):
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t134943.0.html;msg2081579#msg2081579

After passing out from a Culinary Arts diploma from a reputed college like NAIT, you should not have any difficulty in finding entry level skilled apprentice job as a cook in Alberta, which will automatically qualify you for AINP under skilled trades criteria..and then you can apply for PR.

Please go through and read in detail..all the official links mentioned on this and my other previous replies to your questions.

Hope it's clear to you now.

You already got the link. Go for NAIT.
But to be honest, i'm always against hospitality course.
People have more good career in Finance related course in Canada.
Just a advice.

Good Luck.
