Three months ago my family and I have had medical. On the medical, doctor (Panel Physician) has discovered that my husband has problem with thyroid. He run additional tests. Diagnosis was hyperthyroidism, caused by benign tumor in the right lobe. After that doctor sent reports to Immigration / Medical Office that treatment is in process. In the meantime, my husband had surgery, half of the thyroid was removed, results are good, it was benign and now he has new therapy, takes hormones every day because now he has hypothyroidism.

We haven’t got third line yet on e-cas.

What is my next step? Should I write to local VO about this or call doctor (Panel Physician), to inform them that he finished treatment?

I researched forum and I expect fairness letter.

if any additional tests or repeated medical are needed they will notify you.

Hey..

First of all its not going to hinder your process. Hypothyroidism is a disease which can easily be cured. Its just that the VO is taking their time and making sure the reports you have submitted satisfy them and then hopefully they'll update the third line. Contagious illnesses like HIV, TB, Leprosy and STDs are of concern usually for the immigration officer.

Keep praying and stay positive.

Regards.

Thanks for answers!

I'm really worry about this. :(

Now is three months from medical. Does anyone know, how long it takes to get some notification or mail from VO after medical?

it varies from case to case. Since you said he underwent surgery they msy ask you more details about the past and present treatment after the first medical. But I cant see any reason for rejection.
But it will be taking some time.
stay positive

Hi,

I have also the same sort of concern.i have undergone thyroid surgery in 2013 and removed thyroid glands from both sides and I am taking electroxin tablet everyday and check-up is going on still as per the interval time suggest by doctor mostly once in an year .All the time TSH level is normal as well . And now i have plan to immigrate to Canada. Could you be kind enough to clear my concern if this may be a barior for me to enter into it.
