Hi ,

You have to apply the separate Visa for both (Visiter(both) /OWP (Spouse) /Study(Child).

Thanks

If you're from a non-visa-exempt country, your spouse needs both a TRV (visit visa) and open work permit; but your child most likely needs only a TRV. Primary and secondary school admission does'nt normally require a study permit. Verify with the school boards in your city.

Thanks Amira. I am from bangladesh, & just landed saskatoon on 9th May. I got only 8 months open work permit upon arrival. Should my spouse & child wait few months to apply their TRV & work permit as i just landed or they can apply soon. But the problem is to be eligible for spouse work permit , i have to have 6 months work permit & if they apply after 3 months, I will have only 5 months remaining. I need suggestion

There's no need to wait. You could even have applied earlier so that your spouse and child could have travelled with you to Saskatoon. So you can certainly go ahead and apply now.

I am just wondering why a work permit was granted for 8 months.
