Congrats!

I'm just starting the waiting game -- we sent off our application on March 25th.
I'm a little worried because my fbi papers will have to follow, but everything else should be in there... fingers crossed, since my husband sent in the application while i was home in the us -- my mother passed away on the 21st.

Quick question, i have done my medical in Feb but currently the doctor is holding on to it. When should i ask them to send it to the Medical office in Manilla. I currently fear that if its sent now, they wont know for which case or file number it is. Can someone advice what to do ?

I guess you should go ahead ask your doctor to send your medical to your visa office as your application will be soon sent to local Visa office...

BTW, Does anyone know how long does it take after receiving AOR from Mississauga office? My wife's application will be sent to New Delhi Visa office.

Friends,

I sent in my wife's application from the US March 3rd.

I still have not heard anything and I'm freaking out. I'm worried that it has got lost in the mail or something. I wish I had of sent it with a confirmation.

How do you know that they have received it? I keep trying to log into the CIC application status using my Recite Number (IMM 5401) and all it says is "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided"

Will I hear from Mississauga before it goes to Buffalo?

Try other identification numbers, i wasn't able to login with the Receipt number but managed to log in with my wife's PR card number , her last name , DOB and Place of birth.

As for the document delivery, mine was sent via fedex so i was able to track it.

Don't worry, all should be fine and you should receive update soon.

Also try out e-cas tracker, its allows you to enter multiple identification details combination and would automatically check if there is any updates on ecas. Very useful tool and doesnt need any manual checking.

You sent your application without any tracking #???... You must be kidding

Ya sending without tracking is a big risk, specially in case like visa docs.

Can anyone else log in using their recite number? I don't have any of the other identification numbers...

I'm a Canadian citizen that has been living in the US for the past 10 years.

I have a great job lead in Toronto and my wife and I would like to make the move this summer.

I will sign up for the eCAS, thank you for the suggestion.

I was able to logged in by using Receipt Number. Application which was received on March 2 had ecas activated on March 24...I would suggest you to try at the end of this week or beginning of next week.

Dustin -It will be nice if you register with ecas tracker...You will automatically get a email once your ecas is activated.

Hi, I am recently married to a colombian citizen, our package arrived at CIC's doorstep on March 22nd 2010. We are dreading this process while we are apart as we are newlyweds!!!! But we are ready to do it. We are anxiously awaiting to hear any advice or what to expect next from anyone in the forum please! Good luck to all of you who started this venture in March aswell!!!
